About Spicy Kidz
As a busy mum of 3 I identified a gap in the market and put together a plan to fill it. In usual style this has morphed a few times to what you now see.
I homeschool 2 of my children and found many who struggled with homeschooling their children. My own admitted to not been able to work effectively as part of a group and so my first homeschool group was born. Playgroups for preschool aged children was always a part of the plan and aim to work alongside children’s therapists as a part of their early intervention.
Supporting children and their families is important to me and as an early childhood and primary educator I wanted to be able to help others in ways that they would find beneficial to their lifestyle and choices. I am also a Certified Facilitator of LEGO® Based Therapy.
Bringing life experience, knowledge and understanding to assist children and families wherever I can.
Services
Homeschool Groups
Students will join other homeschoolers to complete units of work that cover multiple curriculum areas, with a strong focus on literacy. The units will be engaging and fun while giving them the skills to help them to make choices in the future.
Playschool
A playschool will run a on a Friday morning. The playschool will cater for children aged 3-8yrs of all abilities. Activities will include literacy and numeracy skills as well as art, messy play, fine and gross motor development.
Support Work
We can help support your child or teen in both the community and at home. We can assist them to set up routines, including making visual schedules, assist them with transition planning and the implementation as well as assisting them with life skills.
